I graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement. I began my career teaching Title I Reading and Reading Recovery. I have also taught First Grade, Second Grade and Prep Kindergarten. I attained my Masters Degree from Drake University in Educational Leadership. In 2010 I transitioned into my administrator role at Longfellow Elementary. I have served as the Principal at Longfellow ever sense. I thoroughly enjoy my role at Longfellow. We have wonderful families and students to serve in this community. On a personal note, my family and I live in the Belle Plaine community. I have two children. One has graduated from Belle Plaine High School and the other is in Eighth Grade. My husband, Jeff, and I enjoy spending time with our children and supporting them in their many activities." |
