Move to Online Instruction: 11/13/20
Dear Parents and Student,
The Belle Plaine CSD has requested a waiver to go to full online instruction from November 13 to the end of Thanksgiving Break. Our county positivity rate is 24.9%, and we have 16% of our staff gone as well as 20% of our students.
We will not have a regular school day Friday, November 13, 2020. We will plan to provide complete online instruction that day no matter the result of the waiver request.
There will be no activities on Friday. If the waiver is approved for complete online instruction, no activities, open gyms, weight lifting, or practices will be allowed during that time period of online instruction.
We plan to return November 30, 2020, to in-person instruction. We may consider Hybrid options if rates are still high. Activities and practices may resume on the 30th if we return as hybrid or in-person. Teachers and building administrators will communicate schedules and procedures to students as necessary.
Pick up breakfast and lunch will be provided at the high school starting Friday Morning and through the time that we are online. More information will follow on pick up times.
We will know the results of our waiver request in the next two days. Thank you for your support in this difficult time.
