I grew up on a farm south of Tama and graduated from South Tama Community Schools. My husband and I then moved to Belle Plaine, where I spent many years at home raising my two children. I then decided to get my teaching degree. I graduated from Buena Vista University in 2003. I also attended the University of Iowa to get my Talented and Gifted endorsement. I began teaching for the Belle Plaine Community School District in 2007. I taught TAG for 3 years, 6th grade Science for 2 years, first grade for 12 years, and am now teaching Prep Kindergarten. I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, and being outdoors! GO PLAINSMEN!
