Launch the media gallery 1 player27 year old, four time state trap shooter Logan Jensen finds himself as a first year teacher at Belle Plaine High School. He is starting his job here as an English teacher for 7th, 10th, and 11th grades. What brought him to Belle Plaine was a small school teaching job which he preferred most. This job popped up for him and he was glad it did.
He attended Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids, and participated in bowling, trap shooting, chess club for 1 semester, and tennis. After his high school experience he attended Iowa State to become an aerospace engineer. He later decided that wasn’t the career for him. He then decided he wanted to become a teacher to help kids and teaching was in his family already.
Mr. Jensen has a fiancée named Lindsey, and a dog named Denali. He currently lives in Cedar Rapids with no plans to have kids anytime soon. He is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoys riding his motorcycle and going fishing with buddies.
His biggest goal for this year is to become close with the community and the school district. So far he has only been here for a couple of days and really enjoys it so far and is looking forward to the rest of the year.
