The Belle Plaine Plainsmen travel down to Corydon Iowa this Friday night, September 10, to play the Wayne Falcons. Starting the third week of the season the Plainsmen are 1-1, and are coming off a win and hope to keep it going. Wayne has started the season off 0-2 looking to find their first win. This will be Belle Plaine’s and Waynes' second district game of this season. Wayne’s leading rusher this season is Corydon Kiefer with 35 carries for 195 yards, and is averaging 5.6 yards per carry. The leading passer for Wayne is Boudyn White who is 4/14 on passing this season for a total of 77 yards.
Coming off a good performance against Madrid, the Plainsmen look to do even better this week. The Plainsmen look to get the same great performance from the offensive line, and the same running game from the backs. They also look to have another good defensive performance. The Plainsmen had a 217 yard rushing game against Madrid. They look to do the same with Junior back, Connor Timm, joining the team this week. Combining last week's total rushing yards were Ben DeMeulenaere, Brooks DeMeulenaere, Jeremy Reineke, and Ty Alcott. The Plainsmen look to keep this momentum going.
